Good to Know: First Years Survey

First Years Survey We would like to thank the first year students that filled in the survey about their first couple of weeks. Overall the results were positive but of course there were some complaints. We take these complaints seriously and will address them with the Dean's office.

Good to Know: The Book Lending Procedure

Book Lending Procedure  This year OSEA Desk Opening Hours are from 9am-8pm. During this time frame, the book lending procedure will work the same as it did last year: you borrow a book and leave your student ID, and bring it back by 8pm. New this year : This year you can additionally study until the building closes but you have to drop your book off at the reception desk rather than the OSEA Desk. If you did that you can pick up your card the next day at the OSEA desk. Otherwise, you will get an entry on the blacklist (note that two entries on the blacklist will get you exempted from the booklending procedure for a whole semester).

A Chat With: An Alumnus, Roan Laenen

An Alumnus Roan Laenen - MA Creative Advertising, Falmouth, UK Master I’m doing an MA in Creative Advertising at Falmouth University, United Kingdom. There are two tracks within this master, and I chose to do Art Direction (as opposed to Copywriting). Experience so far I'm really happy! The master definitely lives up to my expectations, even though I’ve only been studying here for a month. The course coordinators, Rob and Chris, both worked in the advertising industry for over 30 years in London’s leading agencies. This reflects in how they teach – they’re very knowledgeable and insightful, but also provide the necessary critique to go that extra mile. Also, Falmouth is a beautiful place to live in and I love English culture in general. Application Process In the UK, quite a few universities work with a ‘rolling admission’, which means they don’t have a specific deadline but accept students over a long period, until the course is full. I handed in my admission at the end...

A Chat With: An Exchange Student - Maud Paulis

An Exchange Student M aud Paulis - Bocconi, Milan Exchange Before I even came to EUC I already knew that I wanted to take advantage of the exchange opportunities given here. To me, exchange is very important for your own personal development, and of course it is also a lot of fun! For anyone considering it, I definitely urge you to just go for it. University So far, Bocconi has been great. There was a huge selection of courses to choose from. Currently I am taking Management of Fashion Companies, New Product Development and Open Innovation, E-marketing and E-Commerce, and Global Sustainability Strategy. It’s really great that I can use this semester to choose the courses I am personally most interested in, and at such a great university at that! Housing I decided against staying at the dorms provided by the university, and instead found a place on my own through Spotahome. Though rent is pricey in Milan, I found a really nice and modern room in a big student house. It’s really...
